About The Manufacturer
Orijen is a high-meat, low-carbohydrate dry dog food line produced by Champion Pet Foods, a Canadian pet food company that specializes in making Biologically Appropriate pet diets: diets that are as close as possible to what the animal would naturally eat in the wild. All Champion Pet Food diets are made according to the whole prey model, which includes muscle meat, organ meat, bone, and cartilage in the diet. The whole prey model provides abundant sources of naturally-occurring amino acids, vitamins, and minerals, meaning that very few synthetic supplements have to be added to make the diet complete and balanced for your pet! Naturally-occurring nutrients are more bio-available than are synthetics, and are therefore of greater use to the body. Orijen features fresh, regionally sourced ingredients that are preservative free and that are delivered to Champion Pet Food’s kitchens within two days of harvest. Orijen dog diets feature 85% meat, and 15% fruits, vegetables, and botanicals, making it the most meat-dense dog kibble we offer! Orijen kibble is a great option for raw and fresh-food feeders who occasionally would like to rotate feedings with a high-quality kibble.

Transition Instructions
It takes time to transition your pet to a new food without having digestive upset. Over the course of one to two weeks, you should gradually switch from the old food to the new. Start with a 75% old to 25% new mix, then 50:50, and finally 25:75, until you have switched to your pet's new food entirely.
