Fromm Four Star Pork and Applesauce is a grain-friendly dry dog food featuring USA-sourced pork and chicken, healthy whole grains, and low-glycemic carbohydrates. Pork is an easy-to-digest novel protein that is rich in fatty acids, and chicken is a highly-palatable, digestible protein that is rich in amino acids; Fromm removes heads, feet, feathers, and other unwanted parts from the chickens before using the meat in their foods. Oatmeal, sourced from North American farms, aids with digestive health, heart health, and blood health; even more, oatmeal contains more protein than most other grains and it contains all of the essential amino acids! Applesauce is highly palatable and nutritious: apples are one of the most concentrated sources of flavonoids, a compound known for promoting heart health, preventing heart disease, and preventing strokes. Furthermore, apples are a good source of complex carbohydrates, are high in vitamin C, and are rich in pectin, a soluble fiber that aids digestion. Fromm Four Star Pork and Applesauce is an all-life-stages food featuring very small, cylindrical kibble pieces. This diet is a great choice for picky dogs whose stool tends to be on the softer side.

Feeding Instructions

The following are general feeding recommendations. Many factors including age, breed, activity level, and individual metabolism contribute to the need for adjusting portion sizes. Two to four times more food may be required for puppies, gestating dogs, and nursing dogs. Spayed or neutered dogs may require up to 25% less food.

The following chart provides a good place to start, but determining the correct amount of food for your pet depends upon your evaluation of your pet's overall performance on the amount of food consumed along with any treats given.

Transition Instructions
It takes time to transition your pet to a new food without having digestive upset. Over the course of one to two weeks, you should gradually switch from the old food to the new. Start with a 75% old to 25% new mix, then 50:50, and finally 25:75, until you have switched to Fromm food entirely.
