Friends by Pet Food Express is a way to donate money to a rescue or shelter, at no additional cost to customers. Every time customers shop online at Pet Food Express, via the rescue or shelter’s custom link, the organization will get a donation equaling 4% of that purchase. Easy peasy. Each of our 290+ shelter and rescue partners are given special coupons to hand out during a new adoption, and when that coupon is redeemed, not only does the new pet parent receive 20% off their purchase, but the shelter they adopted from gets a $20 donation from us. Last year alone, the 20/20 program donated over $400,000 to our rescue partners throughout California. Now that's what we call lending a helping paw!

Each fall, we are proud to present the largest pet adoption event and pet party in America: the Pet Food Express Pet Fair! The Pet Fair has grown from a small pet event in Marin, to a huge event in Pleasanton, to a hybrid-virtual event encompassing all of California. Each year, we bring together over 100 rescues and shelters with thousands of adoptable animals; plus fun, education, and entertainment from all over the pet community. Each fall, we are proud to present the largest pet adoption event and pet party in America: the Pet Food Express Pet Fair! Partnering with local shelters and rescues for regular store adoption events is just one more way to optimize exposure for adoptable, lovable pets. We can attest that many customers thought they were just swinging by a store to pick up a bag of dog food, but instead fell in love with a new best friend. And that’s just fine by us.
